The Golf Club at Equinox was originally built in 1927 by the legendary Walter J. Travis. Gleneagles (its original name) restored by American golf-course architect Rees Jones in 1992. Following Travis's original routing and the course's rustic Scottish flavor, the new course meets modern standards with an environmentally friendly approach. The Club was Rated one of the Top 75 Resort Golf Courses in America by Golf Digest and Ranked 10th in New England Golf Journal's listing of the 100 Best Public Golf Courses in New England.
Stratton Mountain Country Club 27-hole course, located near the ski resort on the Stratton Mountain Access Road, is actually three separate 9-hole courses, each with its own set of characteristics and challenges. Stratton has received stellar reviews from the country's most prestigious golf and travel magazines and has hosted six LPGA events.
Manchester Country Club is located on some of the most beautiful countryside in Southern Vermont. Opened for play in 1970 the course was originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish of Amherst, Massachusetts, a golf course architect of long excellent reputation who at that time was also serving as President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. A total back nine renovation, completed in 2003, by the original course architect in combination with architect Steve Durkee, resulted in a course that has quickly been recognized as one of the finest in New England.
