The Dorset Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre organization dedicated to fostering the arts in Dorset, VT and elsewhere, Producing plays and conduct theatrical and other entertainment. The Dorset Playhouse is a two-time winner of the Moss Hart Memorial Award for the best professional theatre production.

Weston Playhouse is a non-profit regional theatre dedicated to excellence in a unique Vermont setting, serves a community of artists and audiences through a broad spectrum of dramatic works and educational programs.

Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show is Northern New England's largest "AA" rated hunter and jumper show. Top riders throughout the United States and Canada compete for prizes and points toward national recognition. July/August.

Southern Vermont Arts Center is a non-profit educational institution located on a beautiful 407 acre estate listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit, membership-based organization which depends on the financial support of the community to carry out its statewide mission to foster the enjoyment and understanding of good music, especially for Vermont's next generation.

The Manchester Music Festival is today at the center of cultural life in Manchester and, indeed, in southern Vermont. Unlike other, summer-only music festivals, MMF is a year-round celebration of music and offers classical music performances and music education of the highest caliber.

Mount Equinox is the best way to enjoy the splendor of the Green Mountain State and the surrounding areas of New England. At 3,848 feet above sea level, the summit offers breathtaking sunsets and panoramic views of the Green, White, Adirondack, Berkshire and Taconic mountain ranges. Golf

The Golf Club at Equinox was originally built in 1927 by the legendary Walter J. Travis. Gleneagles (its original name) restored by American golf-course architect Rees Jones in 1992. Following Travis's original routing and the course's rustic Scottish flavor, the new course meets modern standards with an environmentally friendly approach.  The Club was Rated one of the Top 75 Resort Golf Courses in America by Golf Digest and Ranked 10th in New England Golf Journal's listing of the 100 Best Public Golf Courses in New England.

Stratton Mountain Country Club 27-hole course, located near the ski resort on the Stratton Mountain Access Road, is actually three separate 9-hole courses, each with its own set of characteristics and challenges. Stratton has received stellar reviews from the country's most prestigious golf and travel magazines and has hosted six LPGA events. 

Manchester Country Club is located on some of the most beautiful countryside in Southern Vermont. Opened for play in 1970 the course was originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish of Amherst, Massachusetts, a golf course architect of long excellent reputation who at that time was also serving as President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. A total back nine renovation, completed in 2003, by the original course architect in combination with architect Steve Durkee, resulted in a course that has quickly been recognized as one of the finest in New England.

Killington Mountain is the area's largest alpine ski reosrt.
